Your hardware is coming back. Is anyone ready for it?

Millions of connected devices, IoT fixtures, and industrial hardware products are now reaching their first end-of-life cycle. The OEMs who made them have obligations: regulatory, commercial, and reputational. The recyclers handling them have data, but no standardised way to share it. Between those two groups sits a gap that costs everyone time, money, and audit credibility.

Compliance teams are still manually assembling evidence packages. Recyclers are still exporting data in inconsistent formats from a dozen different ERP systems. No shared record. No chain of custody. No visibility across the programme until something goes wrong.

The cost of doing nothing

Hours spent per year, per organisation, manually reconciling jurisdictional reports and compliance evidence packages.

The platform bridging the gap

2DaLoop is a neutral API layer that connects upstream PLM systems with downstream recyclers, ITADs, and material recovery facilities. It normalises data coming in from recycler ERP systems, regardless of format or quality, and produces audit-ready compliance outputs, chain-of-custody records, and jurisdictional reports that regulators and enterprise buyers accept.

It does not compete with existing PLM or ERP vendors. It fills the end-of-life gap those systems were never designed to address.

The platform produces four core outputs: EPR-compliant audit exports with multi-jurisdictional reporting, chain-of-custody visualisations across the full decommission cycle, a shared dashboard for OEMs and their recycler partners, and a Suggestion Engine that routes reintegration decisions based on real-time demand and geography. Security is built to enterprise requirements from the start: NIST-aligned controls, role-based access, immutable audit logs, and p95 API latency SLAs.

Pilots are structured in 30, 60, and 90-day blocks. Export accuracy targets are set at 95% or above. Reporting time reductions of 50 to 75% are built into the pilot success criteria from day one.

For OEMs

You run a take-back programme. You have legal and ESG obligations tied to how those products are processed. Right now, the data you need to prove compliance is scattered across recycler partners who each report differently, if they report at all.

2DaLoop gives your programme a single, verified record across every recycler in your network. Compliance evidence is generated automatically in the correct format for each jurisdiction. Your decommissioning dashboard is live, not assembled at audit time from emails and spreadsheets.

The commercial case is direct: organisations managing this manually are spending the equivalent of two full-time employees and upwards of £150,000 per year on reconciliation alone, before non-conformance costs are factored in.

For Recyclers and ITADs

OEMs are increasingly selecting recycler partners on the basis of data quality. If you cannot produce a standardised, audit-ready evidence package, you lose programmes to competitors who can.

2DaLoop turns your existing ERP data into structured, verified exports that OEM compliance teams can accept directly. Chain-of-custody records are generated across the full processing cycle. Your audit-readiness becomes a commercial advantage rather than an ongoing administrative cost.

For multi-facility operators, the economics are clear. The platform is priced per facility. The time saved per site, measured across reconciliation, reporting and evidence assembly, typically delivers payback within nine months.

Where we come in

The Consultancy World is a strategic relationship partner for 2DaLoop across North America and beyond.

Our role is to open doors. We connect 2DaLoop with the OEMs whose products are entering end-of-life, and with the recyclers and ITAD operators who process them, we know which organisations are ready to move, which are under compliance pressure, and which are actively looking for a data solution their OEM clients will accept.

That network is not a contact list. It is active, qualified and sector-specific. When we introduce 2DaLoop into a conversation, it is because we already know the problem that organisation is trying to solve.

For OEMs, we identify the product lines entering first end-of-life cycles and the compliance and sustainability stakeholders who own the problem. For recyclers, we identify the operators actively courting OEM take-back programmes and the ones at risk of losing them.

We do not build the product. We build the relationships that give it room to grow.

What this looks like in practice

Georgia-Pacific operates one of the largest installed bases of hands-free dispensing systems in North America. As those products reach end-of-life, the downstream picture is complex: multiple recycler partners across different geographies, inconsistent data exports, and no unified record of what was collected, processed, or recovered.

The 2DaLoop pilot with Georgia-Pacific is built around giving that programme a data backbone it has never had. A shared record is created in real time, from collection and intake through to shredding, recovery, and export. Compliance outputs are generated automatically. The OEM-facing dashboard makes the programme visible to the people accountable for it, without anyone having to chase documentation after the fact.

That is what the shift from manual reconciliation to verified data looks like in a real programme, with a named enterprise customer and measurable outcomes from the first 30 days.
